1/48 AMK MiG-31: Onto the Wheel Wells.
The level of detil here approaches resin. There are some really subtle details in the wells that make you wish they were on top of the airplane. AMK has really done a fine job capturing the corrugations, pipes and wiring inside these things.
There was really no need to add any more detail to these assemblies except through the use of careful painting. I used Mr paint Primer followed by both Alclad, and AK Interactive metallics. I used Vallejo acrylics for the plumbing and other areas. This was followed by a couple of greay and dark brown Mig washes, and a little bit of pigments here and there.
I used a mixture of reds, and skin tones to reproduce the sealant used throughout the aircraft.
