I started out as a model kit-loving nerd in Southern California back in the '60s. I'd save my allowance and would buy Revell, Monogram, and Aurora kits when they were 99 cents each. I stopped building kits for many years and got back into the hobby about 20 years ago. Since then, I've improved my skills and I've won about 25 awards in the last 6 years, including a Silver at the IPMS Nationals in 2018. I've had several articles published in books and international modelling magazines, and my Horten Ho-229 was recently acquired by the Smithsonian's National air and Space Museum to be displayed at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy center.
